Disney Research Zurich started in 2008. By now, more than 50
researchers conduct over 90 distinct research projects in the fields of
graphics, computer animation, facial modeling, video processing, stereo
3D, computational materials, and wireless communication. In this talk I
will discuss some of the research projects we are carrying out in the field
of modeling and animation. Examples include 2D and 3D animation,
capturing and modeling of human faces, as well as 3D reproduction of
materials. Some insight into how the results of our research find their
way into production will be given.
