An overview of the research activities of the Department of Hydrodynamic Systems, Budapest University of Technology and Economics
The first half of the lecture gives an overview of our present activities which range among others from hemodynamics to bubble dynamics, self-sustained flow oscillations, valve instabilities, transient flows in pipe networks, non-Newtonian flows. In the second half of the presentation a more detailed review of our research in hemodynamics will follow. This includes mostly work on intracranial and abdominal aneurysms, 1D simulations of the arterial network, flow in coronary arteries - everything in close cooperation with medical doctors
