  lecture gives an overview of our present activities which range among oth
 ers from hemodynamics to bubble dynamics\, self-sustained flow oscillation
 s\, valve instabilities\, transient flows in pipe networks\, non-Newtonian
  flows. In the second half of the presentation a more detailed review of o
 ur research in hemodynamics will follow. This includes mostly work on intr
 acranial and abdominal aneurysms\, 1D simulations of the arterial network\
 , flow in coronary arteries - everything in close cooperation with medical
  doctors
