DESCRIPTION:hosted by Johannes Fink\, Shabir Barzanjeh\nAbstract: The Inter
national Conference on Frontiers of Circuit QED and Optomechanics 2018 wil
l be held at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (IST Austria
)\, on February 12-14\, 2018. The conference is organized by IST Austria
and chaired by Dr. Shabir Barzanjeh and Prof. Johannes Fink from the Qua
ntum Integrated Devices (http://www.quantumids.com/) lab.FCQO is designed
to attract and engage the best researchers in the field. World renowned l
eaders in the fields of quantum opto- and electro-mechanics\, circuit quan
tum electrodynamics\, and optical to microwave quantum transduction will
speak\, and a number of top young researchers (PhD students\, postdocs and
junior group leaders) will be selected from the pool of submitted abstrac
ts to give a contributed talk and present their posters. We aim to bring t
ogether the leading scientists in Circuit QED\, Electro/Optomechanics and
hybrids systems to present both theoretical and experimental aspects\, wit
h a strong emphasis on the most cutting-edge experimental progress. We hop
e to create an interactive platform for the exchange of new ideas and we w
ould like to inspire a conference series on the topic.
