DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Martin Feinberg\nAbstract: For reasons primarily roote
d in biology\, there is now a growing interest in\nconnections between the
structure of a chemical reaction network and the varieties\nof dynamical
behavior the network might admit. In particular\, there is an interest in\
nunderstanding “design principles” that evolution might invoke to connec
t\narchitectural features of a reaction network to the cell function the n
etwork is\nintended to implement. Over the past few decades\, deep underst
anding of\nstructure-behavior connections has begun to emerge. Although mu
ch of the\nunderlying work is highly mathematical\, it is wonderful that s
ome of the deepest\nand most useful results can be stated in ways that are
highly accessible to a wide\nvariety of scientists. Some of those results
  will be discussed.
