DESCRIPTION:Abstract: This external event will run from 5pm – 11pm at ove
r 250 locations all across Austria and will grant the public access to sci
entific institutions of all kinds. Free of charge\, visitors can experienc
e fascinating tours\, workshops\, shows and witness experiments directly e
xecuted through science professionals.Science Program at ISTA CampusThe Lo
ng Night of Research is one of the great opportunities we have at our inst
itute to invite family and friends for a visit to show them insights into
the campus life. Program highlights this year include the „My Science in
5 Minutes” event\, where scientists give a crash course in their respec
tive studies. Moreover\, there will be two family lectures\, hosted by our
colleagues Andrea Stöllner and Ilse Krätschmer.Additionally\, three pla
yful hands-on science booths will bring scientific principles and methods
closer to the audience: due to popular demand\, the Ibáñez Group will ho
st their slime-making station\, explaining the chemical process behind the
manufacturing of the sought-after toy. Also\, the battery demonstrator of
the Freunberger Group will make an exciting return\, showing the science
behind their sustainable super batteries. And last but not least\, a new b
ooth will be presented by the Modic Group\, featuring Superconductors and
DIY-compasses explaining the principles and applications of magnetism in
their search for quantum spin liquids.Furthermore\, we will host the follo
wing institutes\, who will present their research on our Campus:·

ring the Long Night of Research: The Cremer Group will be present at the
“Aula der Wissenschaften” in the center of Vienna\, where they will sh
