 n this talk we will discuss Bogoliubov’s approximation for translation-i
 nvariant Bose gases in the mean field regime. In the first part we will sh
 ow that there exist low energy states satisfying complete Bose-Einstein co
 ndensation (BEC)\, which we believe to be of independent interest. In the 
 second part\, if time permits\, we will verify Bogoliubov’s approximatio
 n for such states using Fock space methods.
