 pment with a woman who fought for her position at a time in the recent pas
 t when deserving women were not given leadership roles in academia. Other 
 topics of discussion may include what motivates women in science\, why do 
 women choose particular career paths\, and anything else you want to discu
 ss. A light brunch will be provided\, so we ask for you to please register
 .  We hope to see many of you there!  Peggy Sotiropoulou joined Celyad 
 in 2017. As Director of the R&D department\, she leads a broad-ranging int
 ernal research program that aims to develop new strategies in CAR T cell d
 esign to target haematological and solid malignancies. Prior to Celyad\, P
 eggy spent 17 years in Academic research in oncology and immunooncology. B
 efore moving to industry\, Peggy was Research Associate Professor in the U
 niversit Libre de Bruxelles\, in Brussels\, Belgium\, leading research in 
 fundamental oncology and published landmark papers in top tier scientific 
 journals. The aim of Peggy in Celyad is to translate cutting-edge research
  and innovation into actual treatments for patients.
