DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Adrián Franco Rubio\nhosted by Maksym Serbyn\nAbstrac
t: Tensor networks are computational tools for quantum many-body physics i
nspired by our knowledge of their entanglement properties. The research pr
ogram of continuous tensor networks aims to apply tensor network technique
s directly in the continuum\, in the setting of quantum field theory. This
talk will be a (partial) overview of the field\, intended for a broad\, n
on-expert audience. We will specifically focus on the continuous multiscal
e entanglement renormalization ansatz (cMERA)\, a variational wavefunction
al for quantum field theoretic ground states\, which is inspired by the co
ncept of entanglement renormalization. Time permitting we will review rela
 ted constructions.
