DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Carlangelo Liverani\nhosted by Laszlo Erdös\nAbstract
: Considerable success has been obtained in deriving macroscopic equations
(e.g. Euler fluid equations or Fourier equations) starting from a microsc
opic stochastic dynamics. Given the fact that chaotic dynamics can be naiv
ely thought as stochastic it is natural to investigate the possibility to
emulate the stochastic results in the deterministic setting. I will discus
s the prospectives and obstacles of such a research program.
