The Multi-cover Persistence of Euclidean BallsWe will give a brief (informal) introduction of persistence of a discrete point set,and introduce a new generalization of the concept: persistence of multi-coversin scale and depth. We show a practical application to experimental sphere packings and outlinethe algorithms used to compute multi-cover persistence, which feature thecomputation of higher-order Delaunay triangulations.The talk will stay on a high level and feature a lot of pictures.20 minutes.
